July 18, Jin10 Data - Iain Stealey, Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income International at Morgan Asset Management, said that the Bank of England (Central Bank) may still ease its policy at the August meeting. “We are currently quite optimistic about UK government bonds, and I do think that if you look at the data and try to figure out what the Bank of England is following, they will still relax their policy in August,” he said. Yesterday’s inflation data showed some stickiness, which seems to be due to the Taylor Swift tour, as hotel prices did have an impact on inflation. However, if you look at today’s wage data, you will find that the trend is downward. The interest rate will not return to zero or similar levels, but the Bank of England will seek to proactively reduce interest rates to alleviate the pressure of monetary policy.
