Bitcoin OG Opens $1.17B Short Positions After Major BTC Sale
Gate News bot message, a prominent Bitcoin OG has established significant short positions on Hyperliquid following the sale of Bitcoin. The trader utilized $110M from recent BTC sales to initiate short positions in both BTC and ETH, with total positions reaching $1.17B and current floating profits of $26.9M.
The positions include a 10x leverage short on 6,189 BTC ($738.3M) with a liquidation price of $130,810, currently showing a profit of $9.87M. Additionally, a 12x leverage short position has been opened on 91,037 ETH.
According to Spot On Chain, this Bitcoin OG recently returned after a three-week break, selling 3,000 BTC for $363.9M USDC at an average price of $121,291 via Hyperliquid within a 9-hour period. The whale currently maintains holdings of 46,765 BTC (approximately $5.73B) distributed across 11 wallets.
