The Bitcoin rewards app Lolli, now part of the investment portfolio of the venture studio Thesis, has just completed the acquisition of the browser extension Slice – a platform that rewards users for passive internet activities.

This deal will help Lolli accelerate the integration of the Lightning Network for BTC withdrawal features, after receiving numerous complaints from users.

Slice allows users to earn Bitcoin while browsing the web, while Lolli currently rewards BTC for online shopping transactions. The combination is expected to expand reward opportunities and strengthen Lolli's position in the “Bitcoin rewards” space.

Notably, Thesis – the company that acquired Lolli last summer – is also the entity that incubated and spun off Fold into the publicly traded company now listed on Nasdaq.

Lolli stated that the integration of the Lightning Network will allow for faster, cheaper BTC withdrawals and will enable a reduction in the minimum withdrawal amount, making small rewards feasible.

Lolli launched in 2018 and has raised a total of over 28 million USD, with the most recent funding round being a Series B worth 8 million USD led by Bitkraft Ventures.
