The Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points as expected, but Powell's speech was more "hawkish."



On October 30, the Federal Reserve lowered the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 3.75% - 4.00%, marking the second consecutive rate cut meeting, in line with market expectations.

However, during the subsequent press conference, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell stated: A rate cut again this month is far from certain, and there are serious disagreements within the Marketplace on how to proceed with (policy).
