Jin Shi Data News on June 26th, 16 Nobel laureates in economics jointly signed a letter on Tuesday, warning that if Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump wins the US presidential election in November, the US and world economy will be affected. Economists say that Trump’s economic plan will rekindle inflation, in part because he promises to impose stricter tariffs on imported products, which they say will push up the prices of many goods purchased by American consumers. The letter is signed by renowned economists, including Joseph Stiglitz, the winner of the 2001 Nobel Prize in Economics, and Angus Deaton, the winner of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Economics.
